Two New Patriotic Party (NPP) Social Media communicators and serial callers and texters J.B Nsawam and Asantewaba Kwame have gained entry into the Ghana Customs Excise and Preventive Service Officer Class in what many say is special protocol recruitment.

The employment of the two into the Customs comes at a time several persons believe the work of a footsoldier or social media communicator of a political party is not rewarding. They say it is highly exploitative.

In 2018, it will be recalled NPP serial callers and texters in the Ashanti Region burned every communication gadget the party procured for them for communication purposes, announcing they won’t defend the party again following their neglect.

According to them, they sacrificed their resources to campaign for the party to win in the 2016 elections but have been neglected.

They warned their members region-wide to desist from further calling or texting into local radio stations to defend the government of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

The employment of Asantewaba Kwame, a slippers maker and diehard NPP activist as well as JB Nsawam, a serial texter will serve as motivation for others.

It is now the norm that a political party, be it a party in power or in opposition, cannot propagate its achievements without the involvement of Serial Callers or communicators.

The political parties cannot also undermine and criticize the other parties without the involvement of Serial Callers in such exercise. These serial callers and Social media activists are usually rewarded with meagre cash for bundles or allowances.

Already some persons are shading the NDC to learn from the NPP. Others also believe the two risks of being victimized by NDC should power change hands.

“Congratulations to JB Nsawam and Asantewaaba Kwame…..from NPP serial texter to Senior custom officer’s. NDC national Executives and communication board must learn sense from this recruitment. victory ahead come 2024.”
