A piece of breaking news reaching us indicates that there has been a deadly explosion at Apiate between Bogoso and Bawdie.

The explosion at Apiate between Bogoso and Bawdie has taken many lives.

Reports reaching us indicate that a gas tanker has exploded at Apiate, a town between Bogoso and Bawdie in the Western Region.

As a result of the explosion, scores of people are feared dead.

It has also been indicated that many residents at Bogoso have sustained serious degrees of injuries.

It is unclear the number of people who are dead now but My News Ghana will update the public on the incident when more information is gathered.

Meanwhile, the Ghana Police Service has stated that together with other emergency service providers, it has activated a full emergency recovery exercise at the scene.

“We urge all to remain calm as we manage this unfortunate situation.Full details will be communicated in due course,” the Police added.
