Hon Sarah Adwoa Safo is a Ghanaian politician who was born to the Ghanaian industrialist and Pastor Apostle Kwadwo Safo on 28th December 1981.

Hon Sarah Adwoa Safo is the current Minister of Procurement, Majority Chief Whip and the current Member of Parliament and candidate for Dome Kwabenya constituency representing the NPP.

She’s been a Member of Parliament since 2013. She is also the Deputy Majority Leader of the Parliament of Ghana. She has been a lawyer for 15 years.

She was homeschooled for her basic and secondary school certificates and later went to the University of Ghana.

She holds a law degree from the University of Ghana and a Barrister in law certificate from the Ghana school of law, a master’s of law degree in Government Procurement from George Washington University, Washington DC, USA.

She was the founding legal officer of the Public Procurement Authority of Ghana. She played a leading role in setting up the Appeals and Complaints Panel and helped in transforming the Public Procurement Board to become Public Procurement Authority.

She worked with the Legal Aid Board, mediating cases, acting as the legal representative on pro bono.

She holds several certificates in Governance and Leadership from Harvard Business School.


She is married with lovely kids and also a baby mama to the most outspoken Member of Parliament for Assin Central Hon. Kennedy Agyapong.

She was nominated for the Nobles Form Award in 2012 for her outstanding contribution to the governance of Ghana
